The seventh edition of the Osabarimba Royal Awards will be held on Saturday, 23rd January 2027 at the Oguaa Emintsimadze Palace, the seat of the Oguaa Traditional Council in Cape Coast. The ceremony brings together chiefs, government officials, business leaders, educators, community organisations and members of the public in a shared act of recognition — an afternoon of royal protocol, culture and celebration.

What to expect

• Royal durbar and chieftaincy protocol — the arrival and seating of Osabarimba (Dr) Kwesi Atta II and the chiefs of the Oguaa Traditional Council, in full regalia.
• Cultural performances — traditional drumming, choral music and displays celebrating Oguaa heritage.
• The conferment of honours — citations read and awards presented across business, education, health, media, tourism, religion, sport, culture and community service.
• Fellowship — an opportunity for honourees, sponsors and guests to connect in the royal courtyard.

Attendance is by the traditions of an open royal durbar.
